Founded in 2018. by Association of Young Artists of Montenegro.
After the successful year Montenegro Youth Orchestra has been awarded by becoming the part of European Orchestras Federation.
MYO intentionally selected young, enthusiastic musicians passionate about representing in common artistic aims and cultural goals .
Essential to Montenegro Youth Orchestra’s artistic personality is its creative approach to programming, which often ranges beyond the mainstream and has given rise of new sound and actual composers.
In its repertoire, beside well known classical masterpieces, MYO lists repertoire of contemporary music as well as experimental fusion of theatre and classical music.
In the past years, the orchestra performed several premieres of contemporary pieces, while in 2020. MYO recorded Nocturno for solo violin, orchestra and electronic as a concert video spot.
Through the repertoire, the orchestra primarily addresses the audience of the new generation.
Since its establishment Montenegro Youth Orchestra has been participated in cultural events such as:
European Heritage Days,
Young Artists Festival 19,
Humanitarian Gala Concert, multimedia exhibitions…
